i wanted so desperately to become
that person:
ethereal being with the honey remedy addictive personality.
i was a leech
with magnetic (b)lushing green hazel eyes
lathering lavender lotion on her temples and kneecaps.
i had pleaded with the gunmetal moon
showered in moth dust,
the only one that held its gaze
and i dared to stare back.
i blinked too often,
it didn’t like that.
the clouds choreographed a cock block
and dismissed me too.
